Benton Man Pleads Guilty

A Benton man with 14 prior felony convictions pleaded guilty Monday in Garland County Circuit Court to multiple felony counts from five different cases and was sentenced to 25 years in prison and classified as an habitual offender.Lloyd David McElmurry, 38, was set to stand trial on all charges but plead guilty.

Gas prices in Arkansas are up 10 cents over the past week. The average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas is $3.52. That’s up from $3.42 a week ago. The national average is $3.69 per gallon.
